Kanorio’s checkout system is designed for high conversion, minimal redirects, and guest-friendly purchasing:
| Item | Rule Description |
|---|---|
| Capacity Limit | The cart can hold up to 20 different product variant combinations, with a quantity of 1–99 items for each variant. |
| Supported & Unsupported Products | All fixed-price digital and physical products can be added to the same cart for checkout (shipping fees are calculated only for physical products). "Custom Amount (Donation/Support)" variants and "Plan Purchase" modules are processed via "Buy Now" separately and do not go through the cart. |
| Browser Retention | Items added to the cart are saved in the visitor's device browser for 30 days and sync in real-time across different tabs in the same browser. Every time the cart is opened, the system re-fetches the latest prices, discounts, and inventory status from the server. |
| Automatic Promotions & Free Shipping Progress Bar | The cart panel displays applied automatic promotions (e.g., threshold discounts, quantity discounts) in real-time. If you have set a free shipping threshold for your shipping methods, the cart will dynamically show a "Spend $X more for free shipping" progress bar to encourage higher order values. |
| Combined Shipping for Multiple Physical Products | One order corresponds to one shipment; orders are not split. When multiple physical products are in the cart, the system only lists shipping methods supported by all physical products. If there are no common shipping methods (e.g., Product A only supports convenience store pickup, while Product B only supports home delivery), the cart will display . |
After a buyer clicks "Buy Now" or "Proceed to Checkout" from the cart, they will complete the following steps on a single checkout page (if entering from the cart, they can click "Edit Cart" in the header to adjust quantities or remove items):
Buyers must provide their email address (the system validates formats, blocks disposable emails, and checks per-customer purchase limits), name, phone number (default country code follows your business location), and optional notes.
You can control the visibility of the "Send me news about offers and new arrivals (you can unsubscribe at any time)" checkbox at the bottom of the checkout page via "Store › Settings › General" under the "Newsletter Subscription" section. The system automatically applies regulatory compliance based on your business location:
| Your Business Location | Newsletter Opt-in Behavior at Checkout |
|---|---|
| EU, UK, Switzerland, Hong Kong, or Unset Region | In compliance with local data privacy and anti-spam regulations (Soft Opt-in requirements), the newsletter subscription checkbox is forced to display at checkout (checked by default; visitors can uncheck to opt-out). The backend toggle is automatically locked. |
| Taiwan & Other Regions | The checkbox is displayed by default. If you disable "Show newsletter opt-in at checkout" in the backend, the checkbox will be hidden, and completing the order will be considered consent to receive store newsletters (visitors can still unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of emails). |
If you have enabled an electronic invoice provider in "Site Settings › Invoices" and the order total is greater than $0, an "Invoice" section will appear. Buyers can choose personal invoices (cloud carriers, mobile barcodes, citizen digital certificates), corporate invoices (auto-lookup for company names and addresses via tax ID), or charity donations. See .
Based on your settings in "Site Settings › Payments", the system lists all active payment methods (the first is selected by default). There are four checkout experiences depending on the chosen method:
| Payment Experience Type | Applicable Payment Methods & Tools | Visitor Workflow |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Embedded Checkout | • Stripe Connect (Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link); • SHOPLINE Payments (Credit Card/Installments, Apple Pay, LINE Pay, Chailease Zero-Card); • PAYUNi (Credit Card one-time/installments, if 7-11 or Black Cat is not selected) | Visitors stay on your website checkout page throughout the process. They enter card details or trigger wallets directly within the embedded PCI DSS-compliant component and click "Complete Order" to authorize. |
| 2. Redirect/App-Authorized Payment | • Direct LINE Pay, JKOPAY; • PAYUNi (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or when 7-ELEVEN/Black Cat is selected); • Stripe Connect (Custom amount products) | After clicking to pay, visitors are redirected to the mobile payment app or the payment provider's secure page to authorize (if 7-11 is selected, they choose the store on the PAYUNi page). Once completed, they are automatically redirected back to your website. |
| 3. Delayed Payment/Offline Payment | • PAYUNi (ATM Virtual Account Transfer, Convenience Store Code Payment); • SHOPLINE Payments (ATM Bank Transfer) |
After completing checkout (or obtaining a payment code), the buyer is immediately directed to the "Order Status Page" and receives an "Order Confirmation" or "Payment Pending" email. For digital products, buyers can click "Log in to access" on the page to retrieve their files. See .
If you or your buyers find that items cannot be added to the cart or the checkout button is unresponsive, please check the following table:
| Issue | Reason | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Button shows "Coming Soon" or cannot checkout | No payment methods are enabled for paid products, or the store is suspended due to a failed credit card charge for platform fees. | Go to "Site Settings › Payments" to ensure payment methods are enabled and set to "Visible to visitors". If there is a banner for overdue platform fees, update your credit card at "Site Settings › Pricing". |
| Physical products show "No shipping methods available" | Shipping methods are not enabled in settings, not selected for the product, or the cart contains items with incompatible temperature requirements or shipping methods. | Check "Site Settings › Shipping" and the "Available Shipping Methods" for the product. If there is no overlap, ask the visitor to checkout separately. |
| When 7-ELEVEN or Black Cat is selected, LINE Pay/JKOPAY/SHOPLINE Payments disappear | Shipping labels for 7-ELEVEN and Black Cat are generated via the PAYUNi payment page. | When visitors select these shipping methods, the system automatically locks the payment to PAYUNi. To offer convenience store pickup with other payment methods, we recommend enabling and (ezShip), which are not tied to specific payment providers. |
| Visitor reports reaching purchase limit, but no paid order is found in the backend | The visitor may have initiated an ATM/Convenience Store "Pending Payment" order that hasn't been paid, or an unfinished checkout within the last 60 minutes is holding the quota. |
Yes. When a cart contains both, the checkout page will prompt the buyer to select a shipping method and calculate shipping fees for the physical items. After payment, digital products are immediately available in "Purchased Content," while physical items are added to your pending shipment list.
Cart data is stored in the buyer's browser. No record is created in the dashboard until the buyer enters their email on the checkout page. Once a valid email is provided (even if the order isn't completed), the system creates a draft record, which you can view in "Orders" by filtering for "Abandoned Checkout › Payment Not Sent."
No. The checkout form is cached in the buyer's browser for 45 minutes. If payment fails, the buyer can click "Retry Checkout" from the post-purchase status page within 24 hours, and the system will automatically pre-fill their name, phone, email, address, and selected convenience store.
These items cannot be shipped together; please checkout separately| Upon checkout, visitors receive a dedicated virtual account or convenience store payment code, and the order status is set to "Pending Payment". Once the visitor completes the transfer or store payment within the deadline, the system automatically updates the status to "Paid" and creates the formal order. |
4. $0 Free Acquisition | Orders with a fixed price of $0 or a final total of $0 after discounts | The payment section is automatically hidden at checkout. The button displays "Get for Free". Clicking it bypasses all payment providers, directly creating a paid order and delivering the content. |
| Ask the visitor to complete the payment for the pending order or wait for the unfinished checkout session to expire and release the quota. |
