Online Courses and Knowledge Monetization
About 6 minBeginner
Launch your courses on Kanorio, where your curriculum, sales pages, checkout, student lists, and newsletters are all integrated into your own website and managed from a single dashboard. This system is perfect for online video courses, audio materials, PDF ebooks, and design asset packs.
You can build your website and launch courses directly with Kanorio, or use your own custom-built website (headless frontend). Both approaches utilize the same course backend, video player, anti-piracy mechanisms, and student data—the only difference is who builds the website pages.
What will this section help you achieve?
- Decide whether to use a course marketplace, a course platform, or your own website, and calculate your startup costs.
- Create courses or download packs, set up free previews, drip content, learning rules, quizzes, and certificates of completion.
- Bind courses to products for sale, create sales pages, and automate access upon payment.
- Recruit students using lead magnets, blogs and SEO, discount codes, and newsletters.
- Manage students and access rights, track learning progress, and email students enrolled in specific courses.

How is this different from other sections?
- Store: General rules for product creation, specifications, listing, and cart checkout are covered in Store. This section only covers how to sell courses once they are bound to products.
- Payments & Invoices: Applications and settings for payments and invoices are in Payments & Checkout and Invoices & Taxes.
- Media: File uploads, versioning, trash, and format limits are in Images, Video & Media Library. Anti-piracy for course files is covered in this section.
- Customer Management & Marketing: Full operations for contacts, segmentation, newsletters, and promotions are in Customer Management and Marketing. This section only covers how to combine these tools when launching courses.
- Headless: Architecture, certificates, and APIs for custom frontends are in Headless Overview. If you are considering a headless setup, check Headless Course Hosting in this section first.
Quick Tips Before You Start
- Use Protected Files for Course Content: Public videos used on website pages can be opened by anyone with the URL; do not use them for course content.
- New Lessons are Hidden by Default: Organize your content and set it to visible only when you are ready for students to see it.
- Courses and Download Packs Cannot be Swapped: If you choose the wrong type, use the "Duplicate" feature to create a new one.
- You Can Launch Before Setting Up Payments: Free courses and handouts ($0 products) do not require payment processing; students can access them by clicking "Get for free."
- Videos Automatically Convert to Streams: Built into all plans, this ensures students can watch smoothly even with slow internet speeds and jump to any part of the video without extra setup.
- Use Pro Plan or Higher for Video Courses: The Free plan shares 200 MB of storage across all free websites in your account and does not support newsletters; it is only suitable for ebooks and handouts.
