When a customer completes a paid order in your store, two separate fees are involved: the “Kanorio Platform Fee” and the “Payment Processing Fee.”
In your dashboard under “Orders” (Payment tab) and “Store › Overview” (Sales and Collection Details), the system lists these two fees separately so you can clearly track where every cent goes:
| Fee Name | Charged By | Rate Basis | Summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kanorio Platform Fee | Kanorio | Based on your website's subscription plan:;• Free: 9%;• Pro: 3%;• Business: 0% (no fee) | A service commission for e-commerce checkout, digital file delivery, and order management. Upgrade to Business to reduce this to 0%. |
| Payment Processing Fee | Your payment provider (Stripe, PAYUNi, SHOPLINE Payments, LINE Pay, JKO Pay) | Based on the payment provider and the payment method selected by the buyer (e.g., domestic/international cards, installments, ATM, convenience store) | Transaction fees charged by banks, card networks, and payment providers for authorization, transfers, and risk management. This fee applies even if the platform fee is 0% on the Business plan. |
$0orders incur no fees: When a product is priced at$0, or the customer's final payment is$0after discounts, no payment gateway is involved. Therefore, both the Kanorio Platform Fee and the Payment Processing Fee are$0.
The Kanorio Platform Fee is calculated by multiplying the total amount actually paid by the customer (product price after discounts + shipping) by your current website plan rate, rounded to the nearest whole number:
[ \text{Kanorio Platform Fee} = \text{Rounded}\bigl((\text{Paid Amount after Discount} + \text{Shipping}) \times \text{Plan Platform Fee Rate}\bigr) ]
To simplify your accounting, the system collects platform fees through one of the following three methods based on the technical architecture of each payment gateway:
| Collection Method | Applicable Payment Providers | How it Works | Do I need to link a credit card? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Method A: Real-time Split | When a buyer pays, Stripe automatically splits the Kanorio platform fee to our account and deposits the remainder into your Stripe balance. | No | |
| Method B: Automatic Split from Payout Balance | • ;• | After a sale, the system automatically deducts the platform fee from your pending payout balance at the payment provider via their split-payment interface (no manual transfer required). | No |
| Method C: Monthly Credit Card Billing | • ;• | These mobile payment providers transfer the full amount to you without deducting platform fees at the time of transaction. Therefore, Free (9%) and Pro (3%) sellers must link a credit card in "Site Settings › Subscription Plan" for monthly billing. | • Free/Pro: Required;• Business (0%): Not required |
If you use direct LINE Pay or JKO Pay integration on a Free or Pro plan, the system records each transaction's platform fee in your ledger (if the order currency differs from your subscription currency, it is automatically converted at the current exchange rate). Fees are billed on your cycle date based on these rules:
TWD NT$150 / USD $5.00 / HKD HK$40 / JPY ¥750 / SGD S$7 / KRW ₩6,500 / EUR €5 / GBP £5.$0 free products and dashboard editing remain unaffected).Payment processing fees are deducted directly from your payout by the payment gateway. Below are the reference rates (including tax) applicable when applying or integrating through Kanorio’s partner channels. (For actual rates, please refer to the display in your dashboard under “Settings › Payments” and your contract with the payment provider):
| Payment Provider | Common Payment Method Rates (Incl. Tax) | Calculation & Display in Order Details |
|---|---|---|
| Based on Stripe's official card rates for your account's country and currency conversion fees | Real-time precision: The actual processing fee is pulled directly from Stripe upon payment completion with zero variance. | |
| • Domestic Card/UnionPay/Apple Pay/Google Pay/Samsung Pay: 2.2%;• International Card: 3.5%;• Installments: 3-mo 2.4% / 6-mo 3.3% / 9-mo 3.8% / 12-mo 6.0% / 18-mo 8.5% / 24-mo 10.5% / 30-mo 12.5%;• ATM Transfer: 1.0% (max NT$15);• Convenience Store Code: NT$25/tx;• AFTEE Buy Now Pay Later: 2.5% | Estimated ≈ then updated upon payout: Initially calculated using the rates on the left marked with ≈. The system periodically syncs payout details from PAYUNi; once settled, the actual processing fee and net payout are automatically updated. | |
| • Domestic Card/Apple Pay: 2.2%;• International Card: 3.5%;• Installments: 3-mo 2.4% / 6-mo 3.3% / 9-mo 5.5% / 12-mo 6.0% / 18-mo 8.5% / 24-mo 10.5%;• ATM Transfer: NT$15/tx;• LINE Pay: 3.0%;• Chailease Zero-Card: Full ; Installments 3-mo / 6-mo / 12-mo / 18-mo / 24-mo / 30-mo / 36-mo |
Assuming your store currency is TWD, a customer purchases a product for NT$1,000 after discounts (no shipping) and pays via domestic credit card in one installment (Processing fee 2.2% = NT$22):
| Your Plan | Buyer Paid Amount | Kanorio Platform Fee | Payment Processing Fee (2.2%) | Your Net Payout |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free (9%) | NT$1,000 | − NT$90 | − NT$22 | NT$888 |
| Pro (3%) | NT$1,000 | − NT$30 | − NT$22 | NT$948 |
| Business (0%) | NT$1,000 | NT$0 | − NT$22 | NT$978 |
When you initiate a full or partial refund for a completed order, please note the standard industry practice for global e-commerce and payment providers:
−NT$52 (your platform fee of NT$30 + processing fee of NT$22).You can calculate this based on your monthly revenue: The platform fee difference between Free and Pro is 6% (9% → 3%), and between Pro and Business is 3% (3% → 0%). As your store's monthly revenue grows, the platform fees saved by upgrading often far exceed the monthly subscription cost, while also unlocking independent product pages, higher product limits, and more advanced features. See Plan Comparison.
Absolutely not. Fees are only generated when the customer actually completes the payment and the order status changes to "Paid." Records that remain "Pending Payment" or "Abandoned Checkout (expired/incomplete)" will not incur any fees.
