What is Framer?

Framer is an AI website-building platform known for visual design and interaction. Its public positioning puts a design canvas and website publishing in one place: you can adjust layout, animation, and interaction on a Freeform Canvas, then publish it as a live website. In recent years it has also added AI Agents to generate and edit designs on the canvas, manage a CMS, and connect external AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.

From Framer’s public plans, the usual tiers look like this: a Free plan (trial and limited resources), Basic (about $10 per month, for individuals and small sites), Pro (about $30 per month, with more CMS, Staging, Branching, and similar), and Enterprise. Where Framer is stronger

Kanorio is newer. It will not beat a mature design-first platform on every front. These are the places Framer clearly wins, and they are worth saying out loud:

Collaboration and version flow. Paid plans show Branching, Staging, and live design collaboration. The workflow is closer to “a design team editing the site together,” not one person changing copy in a dashboard.

External AI and design-as-the-finished-site. Framer emphasizes operating site content from external AI or terminal tools, and “what you see on the canvas” is largely what goes live, which cuts the usual gap of handing a design file to engineering to rebuild. Advanced plans can also add conversion-related A/B Testing. Kanorio does not currently offer equivalent productized marketing-experiment tools.

In short: if your priority is extreme visual and interaction polish, and the team has design skill it is willing to spend, Framer is a strong match. If your priority is a usable brand website first, getting found on Google, and growing content over time, the differences below matter more.

When people evaluate tools, they often ask first: “What can I do without paying?” From Framer’s public information, the Free plan fits trial and exploration, but a custom domain, fuller bandwidth, and commercial-use capabilities usually need an upgrade. Collaboration often adds extra editor seats for extra cost. If you run several brands or client sites at once, cost can climb quickly with site count and seats.

One account can manage multiple websites, and you can invite teammates (by plan and permission), so creating websites can grow with the business—without hunting for a new tool every time you open a brand.

Also, if your main audience and content are in Traditional Chinese, Kanorio treats a Chinese interface and Chinese-language workflows as a core experience. Framer’s interface, docs, and community are still English-first. For a small team that needs colleagues to edit content, that often matters more than a feature checklist.

On portability: public discussion often treats Framer CMS content as hard to export fully, so leaving the platform can be costly. Kanorio does not currently offer one-click import from Framer.
