Build Your Site

About 8 min

After completing "Getting Started," you'll have a website ready for further modifications. From here, you can gradually refine it from its initial draft into a site that truly reflects your brand, services, and visitor needs.

"Build Your Site" focuses on in-depth editing and customization: adding content, managing pages, adjusting appearance, uploading images, utilizing AI, and bringing in content from other platforms. You don't need to know how to code; all operations are performed within Kanorio's editor.

What Will This Section Help You Achieve?

If you've finished your first website but are facing any of the following situations, start here:

  • You want to add pages for services, portfolios, events, or contact information.
  • You want to replace AI-generated text and images with your own content.
  • You want your website's fonts, colors, buttons, and spacing to better match your brand.
  • You want to display content from Instagram, YouTube, booking tools, or forms on your site.
  • You want to understand the difference between drafts and published versions to avoid visitors seeing unfinished work.

First, Identify What You Want to Do

Adding or Adjusting Page Content

Read "Understanding and Using Modules." Modules are like building blocks for your website: cover sections, text-and-image blocks, FAQs, and portfolios are all independently editable content sections. Then, use the "Complete Guide to Module Types" to select the most suitable modules.

Adding Service, Event, or Portfolio Pages

Read "Managing Website Pages." You can start with a blank page, use AI to create a first draft, and then adjust the URL path and search settings.

Making Your Site Look More Like Your Brand

Read "Brand Visuals and Style Settings" to adjust fonts, brand colors, light/dark modes, module spacing, and border-radius. To manage the site's top navigation and bottom contact information, read "Designing Header and Footer."

Replacing Images or Improving Image Search Performance

Read "Images and Media Assets." This section explains where to upload images, which formats are supported, how to write ALT text, and when to use free stock photo libraries.

Using AI to Save Time

Read "Accelerate Your Site Build with AI." You can use AI to draft modules, generate entire pages, or optimize text. For search settings and website promotion, head to the "SEO and Promotion" section; you can always edit AI-generated content.

Displaying Content from Other Platforms

Read "Connecting Social Media and Third-Party Tools." You can integrate public social media posts, videos, music, forms, booking pages, or designs as modules on your website.

You've Made Changes, But Don't Know When Visitors Will See Them

Read "Drafts, Saving, and Publishing." You can confidently make changes in draft mode. Once you're satisfied, publish your site. Until you hit publish, visitors will typically see the last published version.

Centralizing Names, Buttons, Contact Info, or Language

Read "Global Site Settings and Management." This section differentiates between overview and editor settings and explains shared buttons, social links, website content language, currency, and data export.

How is This Section Different from Others?

"Getting Started" guides you through your first login, AI site creation, and initial publishing – the basic process from zero to one. This section doesn't repeat editor interface explanations but teaches you how to use each feature more deeply.

If you haven't created a site yet, please read "Create Your First Website with AI." If you only want to connect your custom domain or take your site offline, go to "Go Live and Domains."

A Few Tips Before You Start

  • Decide on the single most important task you want to accomplish this session, such as completing your homepage content, creating a services page, or adjusting your brand's appearance. You don't need to change everything at once.
  • Before making significant changes, preview how your site looks on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices in draft mode. Only publish after confirming; the live site will update then.
  • Always verify the accuracy of images, external links, and AI-generated content, especially contact details, pricing, and booking links.
  • This section focuses on "How to Edit Your Website." If you need to handle custom domains, taking your site offline, or DNS settings, please refer to Go Live and Domains.
