How to choose, in one sentence

If you are in a market that still operates (the United States, for example), you already know Weebly, and the core need is a simple presence site or deep Square store / payments integration, staying on Weebly can still make sense.

If you are in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, or another region on the exit list, or you want AI to restart a brand website quickly and spend energy on content and search, Kanorio is a better fit. This is not a roast. Weebly took “easy to start” as far as it could. Kanorio’s core path is “a brand website you can run, drafted fast.” If you are moving, back up first, then rebuild. A perfect one-shot migration is not the goal.

• Personal (about $13 a month, billed annually): bind a custom domain
• Professional (about $15 a month, billed annually): remove ads, advanced site stats
• Performance (about $32 a month, billed annually): fuller ecommerce growth tools (abandoned-cart email, product reviews, live shipping rates, and similar)

The more important fact: Weebly is scaling back global service. From Weebly’s official notice, regulatory change and simpler global operations mean it will wind down service in 67 countries / regions. Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates are on the list. The timeline is roughly:

• 2026-06-29: affected regions can no longer publish new pages
• 2026-09-27: websites go unpublished
• 2026-12-26: account login ends; download data and transfer domains before this date

Where Weebly is stronger

Kanorio is newer. It will not beat a website platform that has operated for almost twenty years on every front. These are the places Weebly clearly wins, and they are worth saying out loud:

Extremely simple to start, a very low learning curve. Weebly’s core experience is “pick a theme, drag elements, change copy.” For a first website, that intuition is still its signature. If you only need a few intro pages plus contact, it is genuinely fast.

Built-in ecommerce and Square integration. In markets that still operate, Weebly can connect the online store with Square payments and even in-person POS. For small merchants who sell offline and online together, that path is practical - depth Kanorio cannot match today.

Sell on the Free plan. From public information, the Free plan can turn on ecommerce-related capabilities (usually with ads and higher fees). For people who only want to test “will anyone buy,” the bar is low.

A long history and a lot of teaching. The web has a large body of Weebly tutorials, examples, and community discussion. When you hit an editor question, an existing explanation is usually easy to find.

In short: if you are in a market Weebly still supports long term, and the priority is “simple drag-and-drop plus Square ecommerce in one line,” Weebly still fits. If the priority is “will the platform still be here, can Google find the site, can AI restart it quickly,” keep reading.

Content needs a place you can keep updating: service notes, FAQs, case studies, industry observations. Weebly includes a blog with posts, categories, comments, and archives. That is more complete than a presence-only tool.

Public reviews and user experience often say the blog is relatively basic and has sat in maintenance mode, so it is harder to treat as a “accumulate search assets from content over years” workflow.
