On-site promotions are components that overlay your public website. They are ideal for promoting limited-time offers, driving bookings, highlighting important updates, or letting visitors contact you via WhatsApp, phone, or custom links.
Top bars, modals, and floating buttons are features available on Pro and Business plans. Before setting them up, define a clear goal—such as "get visitors to book a consultation" or "remind visitors of this week's offer"—to avoid cluttering your site with competing messages.
Back to Top and Cookie Consent are site-level components and are not part of on-site promotions: Back to Top is in "Edit Website → Design", and Cookie Consent is in "Site Settings → Tracking". The Kanorio branding in the bottom-right corner of free websites is automatically removed when you upgrade to Pro or Business; no extra configuration is needed.
The list shows the status of each item: "Active" is what visitors see now; "Waiting" means it is within its scheduled period but is queued behind the active one; "Scheduled" means the period hasn't started; "Ended" means the period has passed; "Disabled" means you turned it off manually. Each item also displays performance data for the last 30 days (impressions, clicks, and CTR), allowing you to compare effectiveness when adjusting order or copy.
Top bars appear at the very top of your website, perfect for short messages you don't want visitors to miss, such as:
Each top bar can be configured with:
Each top bar shows its impressions, button clicks, and CTR for the last 30 days directly in the list (to avoid cluttering general page analytics, on-site promotion clicks are tracked separately and do not appear in "Analytics › Pages & Conversions").
Modals appear in the center of the screen when visitors arrive, suitable for important information that doesn't need to be permanently fixed to the page, such as event registrations, age verification, or membership sign-ups.
You can configure:
Standard modals use browser-based local storage to avoid repeatedly interrupting the same visitor. The list also displays impressions, CTA clicks, and CTR for the last 30 days. If set to age verification, the system applies different display behaviors for security purposes.
Floating buttons are fixed to the corners of your website and are accessible on any page. Pro and Business plans can add these. The preview displays the Back to Top and Cookie Consent components together so you can see the actual layout on your site.
Each floating button can be configured with:
On tablets and mobile devices, these are fixed to the bottom-right to avoid interfering with touch interactions. Items in the same corner can be reordered by dragging; items lower in the list appear closer to the bottom of the screen. The list also displays clicks for the last 30 days for each button.
Back to Top is configured in "Edit Website → Design". It is a system component that cannot be deleted, and it is available on all plans. It is enabled by default and only appears when the visitor scrolls to the bottom of the page.
You can adjust:
It shares the same stacking logic as floating buttons. With the default trigger, only contact buttons are visible while scrolling; these fade out near the bottom to make room for the Back to Top button. If set to persist, it will stack with other components while scrolling.
Footers no longer have embedded Back to Top buttons. Clicking the brand logo in the header or footer will still return the visitor to the top of the page.
Top bars, modals, and floating buttons require a Pro or Business plan. The Cookie Consent banner also requires a paid plan; please refer to the corresponding documentation. Back to Top is available on all plans and can be toggled in the "Design" section of the website editor.
It is permanently displayed on the Free plan and cannot be toggled off. It is automatically removed after upgrading to Pro or Business. If you downgrade back to Free, the branding will return. See Plan Comparison for details.
First, check the status in the list: only "Active" items appear on the site. "Waiting" means there is another item currently active; drag your item above it to change the priority. If Back to Top is set to appear only at the bottom, you need to scroll near the bottom to see it. Finally, open your site in an incognito window or a different browser to ensure local browser history isn't affecting your test.
Their primary purpose is not to improve search rankings, but to help visitors already on your site take the next step. Focus on SEO, content, and on-site promotions separately, then use data to observe which ones drive results.
