When people enter keywords into Google, Google doesn't browse the entire web in real-time. Instead, it selects the most relevant pages from its pre-organized "search database" (index).
The process of a search engine reading your page and adding it to its database is called "Indexing." A page must be indexed before it can appear in search results.
To ensure your site is indexed smoothly, Kanorio uses a server-side rendering architecture. When a search engine connects, the page's main title, full content, breadcrumbs, and structured data are included in the initial response, so there's no need to wait for the browser to execute scripts (see ). Additionally, the system includes three automated indexing notification mechanisms and integrates Google's official indexing status directly into your dashboard, so you don't have to guess the progress.
Before checking why a page isn't appearing in search results, please ensure it meets these three basic requirements for public indexing:
noindex), the page can still be opened via URL, but it won't be included in your Sitemap or indexed by search engines. As long as a page meets the public requirements above, the system automatically notifies search engines through these three channels:
/sitemap.xml)Your Sitemap acts as a public directory for your site. Once published, the system automatically creates and maintains a partitioned Sitemap at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml, categorized into three sections:
Whenever you publish your site, add a post, or update products, the Sitemap is updated within 60 seconds automatically—no manual editing required.
After completing the one-click connection to , the system submits your Sitemap during the initial setup. Google will periodically revisit and decide which pages to crawl based on their last updated time, so you don't need to re-submit for daily content updates.
The system only re-submits automatically when there are major structural changes: changing your primary domain, adjusting blog or store URL prefixes, toggling the entire blog or store section, re-enabling global indexing, or taking a site offline and bringing it back online.
Beyond Google, search engines like Bing, Naver, Yandex, and Seznam (which are also key sources for many AI search tools) support the IndexNow protocol.
In Kanorio, you don't need to register for accounts or apply for API keys on these platforms:
Once connected to Google Search Console, you can track the indexing status of every page in two places:
Because Google imposes daily limits on URL status queries, Kanorio uses smart scheduling to check your pages in the background:
If a page shows as unindexed in your dashboard, refer to the badge name to understand the cause and how to resolve it:
| Status | What does this mean? | What should you do? |
|---|---|---|
| Pending Google crawl | Google knows about this URL via your sitemap, but its crawler is still in the queue and hasn't visited the page yet. | This is common for new sites or pages published recently; no action is needed. Please wait a few days to a few weeks for Google to complete the crawl. |
| Crawled but not indexed | Google has visited the page but decided not to index it yet, likely because the content is too thin or too similar to other pages on your site. | Check if the page content is too thin (e.g., only a few images and two sentences). We recommend adding specific service descriptions or an FAQ module. Also, ensure your homepage, navigation, or related posts include links to this page so Google knows it is important. |
| Excluded by noindex | Google found a noindex tag on this page during its last visit, or it is blocked by your robots.txt rules. | If this is an important page, open the SEO panel for that page and ensure "Advanced → Allow search engines to index this page" is checked (if you just enabled it, wait for Google to re-crawl). If you have customized robots.txt in , ensure you haven't blocked the path by mistake. |
| Google chose a different canonical | Google believes the content on this page is a duplicate of another URL, or you have specified a different "Canonical URL" on this page, so Google decided to index the other one instead. |
Check these four common reasons in order:

Google sees the redirect and only indexes the final primary URL, which is the correct way to protect your SEO.| Open the SEO panel for that page and check the "Advanced → Canonical URL" field to ensure it isn't filled out incorrectly (for standard pages, please leave it blank). Also, ensure the page title and content are not exact copies of another page on your site. |
| Google could not fetch the page | Google encountered an error when trying to access this URL (e.g., 404 Not Found or connection timeout). This issue will also be flagged as a critical error in "SEO › Health Check". | Open the public URL in an "Incognito" window to confirm the page is published, visible, and loading correctly.
