When you want to announce new product launches, holiday offers, or event news to your customers, you can write an email and send it to all your subscribers at once. This guide explains how to write, target, schedule, and track the performance of your campaigns.
Campaigns are located in your dashboard under Customers → Campaigns and are a Pro feature.
Drafts are saved automatically, so you can return to finish them later.
Subject and body are required. Other fields are optional:
You can insert "auto-fill data" like the recipient's name into the body. If the name is empty, it will automatically default to a generic term like "Customer."
We recommend using images wider than 1200 pixels. Images added via link are copied to Kanorio, so they remain visible even if the original URL breaks. Images copied directly from a webpage will not be saved; please use the "Insert image" tool instead.
Your logo, button color, and contact info at the bottom are part of your "Email appearance," which is shared across all customer emails. See Sending domains, email appearance, and sending limits for details. An "Unsubscribe" link is automatically added to the bottom of every campaign and cannot be removed.
Test email subjects are prefixed with "[Test]" and do not count toward your sending limit. You can send up to 5 test emails per campaign.
"Recipients" refers to your segments, such as "All subscribers" or a custom segment. Once selected, you will see:
If you exceed your remaining quota, you will see a prompt to purchase more. After clicking "Send," the confirmation window will show the deficit, the amount to purchase, the cost, and the recurring monthly price. Click "Purchase and send" (or "Purchase and schedule") to complete the process. See Sending domains, email appearance, and sending limits for rules.
If your sending domain becomes invalid or you run out of quota by the scheduled time, the campaign will not send. It will return to draft status with an explanation so you can fix the issue and try again.
Email providers monitor senders for sudden spikes in volume. To help your domain build reputation and keep your emails out of the spam folder, your daily sending limit will gradually increase starting from your first campaign:
| Days since first campaign | Daily sending limit |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | 500 |
| Day 2 | 1,000 |
| Days 3–4 | 2,500 |
| Days 5–7 | 5,000 |
| Days 8–14 | 10,000 |
| Day 15+ | Unlimited |
Recipients exceeding the daily limit are not canceled; the system automatically queues them for the following days. You do not need to do anything. For large lists, your first campaign may take several days to complete.
Campaigns are sent sequentially, which takes time for large lists. During this process, you can:
After sending, "Performance" shows the number of sent, delivered, opened, clicked, unsubscribed, bounced, and spam-reported emails. Click "View records" to see the status of each recipient and reasons for any failures. See Contact records for details.
Opens and clicks are only counted when reported by the recipient's email provider; actual numbers are typically higher.
Campaigns may pause automatically in the following cases, with the reason displayed on the page:
| Reason | How to fix |
|---|---|
| Quota exhausted | Purchase more quota and click "Continue sending," or wait for the next billing cycle |
| Domain verification failed | Fix DNS records and ensure the domain is "Verified," then click "Continue sending" |
| High bounce or spam rate | Kanorio will review and resume sending for you |
Kanorio will notify you if your bounce or spam rate is high. If it exceeds safety thresholds, we will limit daily sending; persistent issues will pause your campaigns. Automated notifications like order confirmations and shipping updates are unaffected. The best way to lower bounce and spam rates is to send only to engaged, opted-in subscribers and ensure your subject line clearly reflects the content.
Yes. Click "More actions" in the top right of the campaign page and select "Duplicate" to create a draft with the same content and recipients, then modify and send.
No. Once sent, the email is in the customer's inbox and cannot be modified or recalled.
Campaigns are only sent to opted-in subscribers with no history of bounces or spam reports. Also, anyone who received a campaign from you within the last 24 hours is skipped.
New sites have daily sending limits for the first two weeks; any excess is automatically queued for the following days.
They will no longer receive future campaigns, but automated notifications like order confirmations and shipping updates will continue as usual.
