Student and Educator Discount

To support student portfolios, club projects, and academic research, students and faculty can verify their status using a school-issued email. Once verified, you can subscribe to our Pro or Business plans on an annual billing cycle and receive 50% off for the first year (the subscription will renew at the original price starting from the second year).

Who is eligible?

If you have a school-issued email address that is currently active and can receive emails (e.g., .edu.tw, .edu.hk, .edu, etc.), you can verify your status instantly online:

• Universities, Colleges, and Graduate Schools: Both students and faculty are eligible (including sub-domain emails issued by schools, such as @mail.ntu.edu.tw, @connect.ust.hk, etc.).
• K-12 Schools (High Schools, Middle Schools, Elementary Schools): Open to faculty members.
• Ineligible: Alumni email addresses (e.g., those starting with @alumni.) are not eligible for this discount.

We currently cover major academic domains in Taiwan and Hong Kong and are continuously expanding our list of supported schools. Applicants must also meet the age requirements outlined in the Kanorio Terms of Service.

5 steps to verify your school email and subscribe

There is no need to upload student ID photos or wait for manual review. You can complete the verification automatically in the billing window:

1. Open the billing window: Go to your website dashboard and navigate to "Website Settings › Subscription", then click "Upgrade Plan" (if you are currently on a monthly plan and wish to switch to annual, click "Change Plan").
2. Switch to annual billing and select the education discount: Ensure "Billed annually" is selected at the top of the window, then click "Student or Faculty Discount" at the bottom.
3. Enter your school email: Enter your school email address and click "Send Verification Email".
4. Enter the verification code or click the confirmation button: Open your school email (the code is valid for 15 minutes), enter the 6-digit code in the billing window, or simply click the "Confirm School Email" button in the email (the Kanorio tab will automatically update to a verified status, no refresh required).
5. Confirm the 50% discount and checkout: Once back in the billing window, the annual Pro and Business plan cards will display the discounted first-year price. Select your plan to complete the payment.

Can existing monthly subscribers use this? Yes! If you are currently a Pro or Business user on a monthly plan, and you haven't used the education discount with your Kanorio account or school email yet, you can verify your school email when switching to "Billed annually" to apply the 50% first-year discount (the system will automatically credit the remaining days of your current monthly subscription; see for details).

Discount scope and important rules

Usage reminders

• One-time use per school email and Kanorio account: Once the payment is completed and the education discount is applied, that school email and Kanorio account are considered used. If you cancel your subscription or request a refund later, the discount cannot be reused or transferred to another website.
• Complete payment within 72 hours of verification: After verifying your school email, your eligibility is reserved for 72 hours. If you do not checkout within this time, simply re-verify in the billing window (you can re-verify as many times as needed before payment).
• Cannot be combined with other offers: The first-year annual payment using the education discount will not deduct from your balance. Any available balance in your wallet will be saved for future bills (such as add-ons or second-year renewals).
