Once payment is successful, the system registers the domain and adds it to My Domains. Registration and DNS propagation take time; do not print your new URL on marketing materials until the domain status is confirmed as active.
You can choose which website to assign the domain to in My Domains. Once assigned, the system adds the domain to the website's custom domain list. If the site has no primary domain, the new domain becomes the primary one; otherwise, it becomes a secondary domain and redirects to the existing primary URL.
You must own or have management permissions for the website to assign a domain. Domains and websites are separate assets: buying a domain does not automatically create a website, and creating a website does not automatically cancel domain renewals.

An SSL certificate is what provides the padlock icon and encrypts data between visitors and your site. The system handles both automatically; no extra purchase is required.
Essential DNS records assigned to your site are locked to prevent accidental deletion that could break your site or SSL certificate. You can still add your own A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, or MX records (e.g., for business email or third-party service verification), but please do not remove the system-locked website records.

Auto-renewal is enabled by default for new domains to prevent expiration and the risk of others registering your domain.
If you disable auto-renewal, you are responsible for renewing the domain manually before it expires. Disabling auto-renewal does not cancel the domain immediately; it simply means the system will not attempt to charge you for renewal when the term ends.
You can transfer your domain to another registrar. Per domain transfer rules, newly registered domains usually have a 60-day transfer lock. After this period, you can unlock the domain in My Domains, request an authorization code, and initiate the transfer with your new registrar.
The authorization code is sent to the registrant's email. If you no longer have access to that email, please resolve your registrant contact and account access issues first.

If you want to use hello@yourbrand.com, you still need to sign up with an email provider and add the necessary MX, SPF, DKIM, and other mail records as instructed by them.
