PAYUNi is a third-party payment service provider in Taiwan. It integrates credit cards, ATM transfers, convenience store payments, and various mobile payment methods into a unified checkout experience, making it ideal for Taiwan-based sellers selling digital goods in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD).
Kanorio uses an agency application model for PAYUNi. In simple terms, you do not need to research APIs, generate integration keys, or paste Hash Keys into Kanorio. Once PAYUNi is enabled for your account, you can simply fill out the required information on the Kanorio settings page and submit it for review.
PAYUNi is currently in the public rollout phase on Kanorio. If you do not see the PAYUNi option in your "Store → Settings" page, it means it is not yet available for your account. Please do not attempt to use non-Kanorio workflows to manually input integration keys.
PAYUNi requires different documentation depending on whether you apply as an individual or a business. The Kanorio application form will display the necessary fields based on your selection.
| Applicant Type | Common Documents Required |
|---|---|
| Individual | Legal name, ID number, contact phone, email, store info, and payout details |
| Business | Company name, tax ID, representative info, contact details, store info, and payout details |
PAYUNi's current 30-day credit card transaction limit: NT$200,000 for individual sellers and NT$1,000,000 for business sellers. Limits and document requirements are subject to change; please refer to official notifications and actual application results.
Payment providers need to understand what you are selling and how buyers can contact you. Before submitting, ensure your public website clearly displays:
Incomplete information, lack of purchasable products, undisclosed refund policies, or an inaccessible website may cause your application to be rejected.
Similar requirements are common across other e-commerce platforms (e.g., websites must have products and refund information). Kanorio's requirement is simply that your public site must have understandable products and pricing.
| Situation | Possible Cause | What You Can Do |
|---|---|---|
| Incomplete Site | Blank pages, inaccessible, no products | Add products and pricing, then resubmit |
| Unclear Policy | No refund/cancellation policy | Add the policy and resubmit |
| Inconsistent Info | Store name or contact mismatch | Align data and resubmit per notice |
| Unknown Contact | Buyer cannot reach you | Add email/phone to site and form |
Approval status, required documents, and activation timelines are subject to PAYUNi's review/notification. For more details, please visit PAYUNi FAQ.
Review timelines depend on PAYUNi. Agency channels typically take several business days, and may take longer during peak seasons. Please do not treat any specific timeframe as a guarantee.
Go to "Store → Settings" in your dashboard and select PAYUNi. If you do not see the option, the feature is not yet available for your account.
Fill in your identity, contact person, store name, English store name, website URL, address, and product description based on whether you are an individual or business seller. Ensure all information matches your ID and bank account.
Kanorio will send the necessary store information to PAYUNi's agency application process. Once submitted, your account status will show as "Under Review" and you cannot accept payments yet.
Once approved by PAYUNi, Kanorio will update your payout account to "Active." If additional information is needed or the application is rejected, please follow the instructions in your dashboard to correct the issues and resubmit.
Available payment methods depend on your review results and PAYUNi account status. The initial Kanorio application includes the following:
| Type | Common Payment Methods | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Credit Card | Domestic, International, UnionPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay | Fixed price and custom amounts are processed in-page (UNiEmbed); buyers enter card details or use device wallets |
| Installments | 3, 6, 9 months | Buyer pays in installments; availability depends on review and card issuer rules |
| Offline | ATM, Convenience Store Codes | System provides payment info; buyer completes transfer/payment within the deadline |
LINE Pay, JKO Pay, and AFTEE are managed by PAYUNi and are not guaranteed to be enabled in the initial application. If you wish to offer these, please follow the application and review process displayed in your PAYUNi account.
PAYUNi charges processing fees based on the payment method, while Kanorio charges a platform fee based on your website plan. These are separate costs.
The rates shown in "Store → Settings" are the terms applicable to your Kanorio application channel. Please refer to the details in your settings page after submission and approval. Official public price lists from payment providers may differ from agency channels; please do not compare them to assume you are being overcharged. If the payment provider adjusts contracts or tool availability, the backend display will be updated accordingly.
