LINE Pay is a mobile payment tool: buyers confirm payments using the LINE App on their phones, eliminating the need to enter credit card numbers on a webpage. Unlike "all-in-one" payment services like Stripe or PAYUNi, LINE Pay only processes its own payment methods and does not provide additional tools like ATM or convenience store codes.
Buyers can complete payments via LINE Pay in two ways:
If you only enable one of these, some buyers may be unable to complete transactions due to payment method limitations. When you apply through Kanorio, we help you enable LINE Pay Money simultaneously, providing your buyers with a more complete payment experience.
In Kanorio, you can enable LINE Pay directly. Buyers will see the items and amount on the Kanorio checkout confirmation page before being redirected to LINE Pay to authorize the payment.
LINE Pay currently only supports New Taiwan Dollar (TWD).
Go to "Store → Settings" in your dashboard and follow the instructions on the LINE Pay card.
If you have already applied and received your Channel ID and Channel Secret from LINE Pay:
You can retrieve your Channel ID and Channel Secret from the LINE Pay Merchant Portal. After logging in, go to "Developer Tools" → "Manage Link Keys" in the sidebar, click "Search," and confirm with an email verification code. These are sensitive credentials; please do not share them via chat or email with customer support.
If you do not have a LINE Pay merchant account yet:
LINE Pay offers "Online" and "Offline" payment options, which must be applied for separately. Kanorio assists with the "Online" payment application.
Prepare the necessary documents based on your business structure (company, sole proprietorship, or individual). See the full list at LINE Pay Merchant Application / Required Documents. Before submitting, ensure:
Missing or incomplete documents usually lead to rejection. See Document Instructions for details.
| Situation | Possible Reason | What You Can Do |
|---|---|---|
| Missing Documents | Unclear copies, missing items, expired | Complete based on official list and resubmit |
| Bank Verification Failure | Tax ID/Name mismatch, unsupported account type, foreign currency account | Check against Store FAQ - Registering an Account |
| Individual Eligibility | Application type does not match business model | Use the correct application identity or provide proof |
| Review "Pending" | Additional info or explanation needed | Reply to the email; Support: linepaymerchant@linecorp.com |
Approval status, required documents, and timelines are subject to LINE Pay's notification. Official FAQs state reviews take about 5–15 business days (longer during peak seasons). Kanorio does not have a progress tracking API; your dashboard will show "Under Review" until you receive your credentials and complete the setup.
LINE Pay's payment processing fee is 2.31% (tax inclusive) per transaction, collected directly by LINE Pay. Kanorio does not handle this fee. This is the tax-inclusive rate consistent with channel promotional terms. The rate shown on your dashboard settings is the rate applicable to your application/activation through Kanorio; please refer to the settings page for details.
Additionally, Kanorio charges a transaction fee based on your subscription plan (this is separate from the payment processing fee). Read the full explanation here: .
Both allow buyers to use LINE Pay, but the application, checkout page, and account settings differ:
| Method | Who provides the checkout page | What to apply for |
|---|---|---|
| Enable LINE Pay in Kanorio | Kanorio checkout page → LINE Pay authorization | LINE Pay merchant account (can apply via Kanorio) |
| Use LINE Pay in PAYUNi | PAYUNi payment flow | PAYUNi account, then enable LINE Pay in PAYUNi |
If you already use PAYUNi and have enabled LINE Pay there, you usually do not need to enable it again. If you only want to accept LINE Pay and do not want to use an all-in-one payment service, enabling it directly in Kanorio is the better choice. For more details, see: .
These are credentials provided by LINE Pay for merchants to integrate payments, similar to a "Store ID" and "Password." Keep them secure and do not share them publicly. You can view them in the LINE Pay Merchant Portal under "Developer Tools" → "Manage Link Keys."
No. Please only enter it in the secure form on your dashboard's payment settings page. Do not send it via chat, email, or documents.
Official FAQs state about 5–15 business days; actual timelines depend on LINE Pay's notification. The Kanorio dashboard will show "Under Review" until you receive your credentials and complete the setup.
Not necessarily. Kanorio's LINE Pay integration currently focuses on Taiwan and the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD).
LINE Pay Money is the balance buyers store within LINE Pay. When applying for LINE Pay, LINE Pay Money is enabled simultaneously, allowing buyers to pay using their balance in addition to linked cards, reducing transaction failures. There is no extra application fee for this; transaction fees are the same as LINE Pay and are collected when the order is placed.
Yes, you can link multiple payment methods, but buyers will only see the one you select during checkout. See Overview of Payment Methods.
