Beyond images, you can upload videos, audio, PDF documents, and various downloadable files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EPUB, ZIP) directly to Kanorio to include in your website pages, blog posts, or digital products.
All self-hosted media and PDFs use Kanorio’s built-in player and reader: the interface is clean and consistent, free of third-party ads, and won’t distract visitors with recommended videos from other channels at the end of playback.
When adding video or audio to your site, you can either "upload the file directly to Kanorio" or "embed an external link via an integration module." Each serves a different purpose:
| Comparison | Upload directly to Kanorio | Embed YouTube/Spotify/Podcast |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Brand hero videos, product demos, lecture notes, long-form sessions where you want no distractions, or digital product courses that require payment to unlock. | Channels already active on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Podcast that you want to grow in views and subscribers. |
| Viewing experience | Uses the built-in website player—no ads, no external channel branding, and no recommended videos at the end. | Uses the external platform's player, which may show recommended videos, end-screen links, or ads. |
| Download control | You decide whether to allow visitors or buyers to download the original files. | Files cannot be downloaded from your website; visitors must return to the original platform. |
| Website storage | Counts toward your shared (but no bandwidth fees and no limits on total views). | Files are hosted on external platforms and do not occupy your website storage. |
If you want to embed public links from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Spotify, or Apple Podcast, please use the corresponding integration module. See setup steps in .
