Buyers do not need to register an account to place an order in your store. To balance a frictionless checkout experience with the security of your digital assets, Kanorio divides the post-purchase experience into two access points, both of which take place entirely on your own brand website domain:
/checkout/done?... ) that buyers see immediately after submitting an order or obtaining payment codes (ATM/convenience store). It allows buyers to easily copy payment information, check shipping progress, and view invoice numbers./account , login via verification code, permanent access): After logging in to your website's /account page using the same email address provided at checkout and a 6-digit verification code, buyers can view all historical orders, read PDFs online, stream media, or download digital files. After a buyer completes payment (or obtains an offline payment code), the browser redirects to a secure, signed Post-Purchase Order Status Page ( /checkout/done?... ; buyers also return to this page by clicking links in "Pending Payment" notifications):
Once a buyer has purchased digital products and completed payment, they can access your website's Customer Center ( /account/content ) via these three steps:
Buyers can click the "Log in to Access" button on the Post-Purchase Order Status Page, click the link in the "Order Confirmation" email received in their inbox, or click the "Log in" icon in your website's header. (When entering from the post-purchase page or email, the system automatically populates the email address used at checkout.)
Buyers don't need to set or remember any passwords; they simply enter the same email used at checkout:
Once verified, buyers can access all unlocked content in your website's "Customer Center › Digital Content" ( /account/content ):
| Content Format | Customer Experience in Customer Center |
|---|---|
| Online Course | Inside the course, the left sidebar displays chapters and lesson outlines, while the right player switches between video, audio, PDF, or text based on the lesson type. The system remembers playback positions, marks lessons as complete, and displays overall progress. "Continue Learning" jumps directly to the last interrupted lesson. Scheduled lessons display their release time. |
| PDF Documents | Read online via the built-in reader. If the lesson allows downloads, a "Download" button will appear. |
| Audio & Video | Stream via the built-in player (supports playback speed, picture-in-picture, and progress memory). If downloads are enabled, you can save the files directly. |
| Office / EPUB / ZIP Files | Click "Download" to retrieve the file (ensure "Allow download" is enabled for these files). |
Permanent access, short-lived encrypted link protection:
- Access anytime: Even if a buyer logs in for the first time weeks or months after payment, they can still see all valid content by logging in to your website's
/accountpage with the same email used at checkout.- Short-lived signed links to prevent hotlinking: Every time a buyer opens or downloads a file, the system instantly verifies their access rights and issues a unique, encrypted link valid for 10 minutes, preventing links from being publicly shared.
- Expiration and Revocation: If a product has a viewing time limit, it will be marked as "Expired" once that time passes. If you revoke access in the customer details, the buyer will be denied access the next time they try to open it.
Whether a buyer can access a digital product is determined by that contact's "Access Rights." Actions you take in the backend regarding products, orders, or contacts will take effect immediately according to these rules:
| Your Backend Action | Can customers still access content? | Rule Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Archive a product | Access remains active | Archiving only removes the product from your public storefront and prevents new purchases. Customers who have already gained access can still read, play, and download content in their Customer Center. |
| Delete or update digital content files | Changes sync instantly | If you update a file in the "Digital Content Management" tab under "Store › Products", customers will see the latest version immediately. |
| Full refund or return of all items in an order | Access revoked automatically | When an order is fully refunded or the return quantity of a digital product matches the purchased quantity, the system automatically revokes access, and the product is immediately removed from the customer's Customer Center. |
| Partial refund of an order | Access retained (manual revocation possible) | Partial refunds do not automatically revoke access to digital content. |
| Manually toggle/grant access in order or contact details | Changes take effect instantly | You can toggle "Revoke access" in "Orders" details, or go to , open the tab for a contact to manually grant, set an expiration date, or revoke access (see for details). |
When a buyer contacts you saying they cannot see their files after payment, please check the following 4 points:
/account page is the same one used at checkout. If they used the wrong email, you can go to "Customers › Contacts" and manually grant access to their correct email address.No. Buyers log in to your own brand website (e.g., yourbrand.com/account) by entering an email verification code. They see your website's branding and theme colors and do not need to register for a Kanorio platform account.
First, verify the order in the backend "Orders" using the buyer's name, phone number, or the last four digits of their payment method. Then, go to "Customers › Contacts" to add the buyer's correct email as a contact. In the "Access Rights" tab for that contact, click "Manually Activate" so the buyer can log in and access the content with their correct email.
No. The Customer Center only provides order history and digital content access. If a buyer needs to return an item or request a refund, they must contact you according to your website's refund policy, and you can initiate the refund from the backend "Orders" page.
