Create and Manage Products
Products are the digital content or sponsorship tiers you deliver to buyers. In Kanorio, you can create product names, descriptions, cover images, pricing tiers, and content that can be downloaded or read online.
Kanorio's online store is currently best suited for selling digital content and accepting sponsorships. It does not support physical product inventory, shipping fees, logistics, or multi-item shopping carts. If you wish to sell physical goods, please use a dedicated e-commerce service for physical products.
Three Things to Decide Before Creating a Product
- What will buyers receive? For example, a PDF ebook, an audio file, video content, or a thank-you message after sponsoring.
- How will you charge? Will it be a fixed price, different tiers, or will supporters be able to enter their own amount?
- Which buyers can access which content? You can assign content to all tiers or make it exclusive to specific tiers.
Creating Your First Product
1. Access Product Management
Navigate to "Store → Products" in your dashboard and click "Add Product."
2. Fill in Basic Information
Enter the product name, description, and upload a cover image. The name should clearly indicate what the buyer is purchasing at a glance. The description should ideally include the content format, target audience, delivery method, and refund policy.
For example, instead of just "Photography Tutorial," write "Mobile Portrait Photography PDF Guide: 20 Lighting and Composition Exercises."
3. Create Fixed Price Tiers
Tiers represent different pricing or content bundles for the same product, such as a "Basic" and a "Premium" version. Each fixed price tier requires:
- A tier name.
- At least one currency and price.
- Whether it's displayed on the sales page.
- The purchase limit per buyer. Leave blank for unlimited purchases.
If your product doesn't have custom amounts enabled, you must have at least one published fixed price tier.
4. Enable Custom Amounts (Optional)
Custom amounts are ideal for sponsorships, tips, or flexible support. When enabled, buyers can enter an amount in your allowed currencies. Custom amounts will always go through the payment process and cannot be set to zero.
5. Upload and Configure Digital Content
You can add files, audio, or video content, setting titles, descriptions, order, and whether downloads are allowed. Each content item can also be assigned to specific tiers to prevent basic tier buyers from accessing premium content.
The maximum file size for digital products depends on your website plan: 100 MB for the Free plan, and 500 MB for Kanorio Pro and Kanorio Business.
6. Save and Publish Your Product to a Page
After saving, you'll get an option to add the product to a page. Products don't automatically appear on your public website; you need to place them within a product sales module.

Fixed Price vs. Custom Amount: Which to Choose?
| Pricing Method | Best For | Buyer Experience |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed Price Tiers | Ebooks, tutorials, resource packs, tiered content | Select a tier, then checkout |
| Custom Amount | Sponsorships, tips, flexible support | Enter support amount, then checkout |
How Multi-Currency Pricing Works
Each tier can have prices set in multiple currencies. At checkout, the system prioritizes a price matching the buyer's requested currency. If an exact match isn't found, it uses your primary set price.
Only set currencies supported by your chosen payment gateway. For example, Kanorio's PAYUNi checkout currently only supports New Taiwan Dollars (TWD).
Product Status
| Status | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Published | The product can be purchased by new buyers through sales modules |
| Archived | Stops new purchases; existing access for previously purchased items is not automatically revoked |
Before archiving, it's recommended to update your sales page description or remove the product sales module to prevent visitors from seeing unavailable options.
