Kanorio

Getting Started with E-commerce

Last updated 42 days ago

What are you looking for?

To sell products on the Kanorio website, you first need to set up a Stripe Connect payment account. Stripe Connect is Stripe's platform payment service, allowing you to securely receive payments through Kanorio, with funds directly deposited into your Stripe account.

How Kanorio and Stripe Work Together

Kanorio integrates payment processing for you via Stripe Connect. In this model:

  • Kanorio is the platform, responsible for website building, product display, and checkout experience.
  • Stripe is the payment infrastructure, handling payments, identity verification, and fund disbursement.
  • You are the seller, opening a Stripe account linked to the platform through Kanorio (called a "connected account").

When a buyer checks out on your website, the payment goes directly into your Stripe connected account, and your website name appears on the receipt. Kanorio charges a platform service fee based on your plan; see Fees and Rates for details.

You don't need to integrate any Stripe APIs or write code yourself—Kanorio handles all technical integrations. You just need to complete your Stripe account registration and verification to start receiving payments.

Setup Process

  1. Navigate to the "E-commerce" page in your dashboard.
  2. Click "Start Setup" or "Connect Stripe".
  3. You'll be redirected to Stripe's hosted registration page. Follow the instructions to create your account and verify your identity.
  4. Fill in your business information (or personal details), bank account, and other required payment information.
  5. Upon completion, you'll be automatically returned to Kanorio, and the system will confirm the connection status in real-time.

The entire process is completed within Stripe's secure environment. Kanorio does not access your bank account or identity document information.

Information to Prepare Before Verification

The specific information required varies by your region and account type. Here are common items; having them ready beforehand can speed up the verification process:

Contact InformationPhone number, Email address
Business or Sole Proprietor InformationCompany name and tax ID (for companies), description of business (for sole proprietors)

Tip: Ensure the name, address, and other information you provide match your ID and bank account details to avoid delays due to discrepancies.

Connection Status

After setup, you can check your current connection status anytime on the "E-commerce" page in your dashboard:

Pending VerificationInformation submitted; Stripe is currently reviewing it.
ActiveConnection complete. You can now create products and receive payments.

Verification Timeline

  • Most Cases: Verification is usually completed within minutes to a few hours after submitting your information, and your account becomes active immediately.
  • Additional Verification Required: If Stripe needs to manually review identity documents or business information, it may take 1–3 business days, or longer in rare cases.
  • After Resubmission: After you provide any requested additional information, Stripe typically re-reviews it within 1–2 business days.

Stripe determines the review progress and outcome; Kanorio cannot expedite this process. If the status hasn't changed for an extended period, consider logging into your Stripe Express dashboard (accessible from the "E-commerce" page) to check for any pending items.
