Connecting Social Media and Third-Party Tools
Overview
Integrations bring your public content or tools from other platforms directly to your website. Visitors can watch videos, browse social posts, fill out surveys, pick appointment slots, or view portfolios without leaving your site.
Integrations are not third-party tracking. Integrations are front-end content that "visitors can see and interact with"; third-party tracking are tools that "collect data in the background," such as Google Tag Manager, GA4, or Meta Pixel. Both can be used simultaneously, but their setup locations and purposes differ.
Before You Start
Before adding any integrations, please confirm:
- You have an account or management rights for the public content on that platform.
- Your posts, videos, forms, scheduling pages, or designs are set to public and allow sharing or embedding.
- You have copied the correct public URL, invite code, ID, or connection permission from the platform.
- You know what you want visitors to accomplish on your website, such as viewing a portfolio, filling out a form, booking an appointment, or joining your community.
Do not use links that are private, require login, are about to expire, or are only visible to friends as website content. This content usually won't display correctly for all visitors.
Adding an Integration Module
1. Open "Modules"
Open "Modules" at the top of the editor and switch to the "Integrations" tab.
2. Select a Platform
Choose the service you want to display, such as Instagram, YouTube, Google Forms, or Calendly. Each platform has a dedicated form; please enter the required information according to the field prompts.
3. Provide Public Information
Most integrations require a public URL or platform ID. Some integrations will ask you to authorize your account in Kanorio first, then select from available content. Do not paste login or backend management URLs from your browser's address bar.
4. Preview, Save, and Publish
After filling in the information, use the preview to check if the module's appearance and content are correct. External platforms may load slower in preview or be affected by browser privacy settings. Once confirmed, publish your website.
How to Connect Each Platform
Pinterest: Connect Account, then Select Profile or Board
The Pinterest module requires connecting your Pinterest account first. After authorization, you can choose to display your profile or sync and select a board. This is ideal for organizing inspiration for interior design, weddings, food, fashion, products, or portfolios.
If you've recently created a new board or don't see the latest data, you can sync the board in the module form and re-select it. If you disconnect your account, Pinterest modules relying on it will no longer display content correctly.
Social Media and Video: Use Public Post or Video URLs
Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, and Behance are suitable for showcasing public posts, videos, playlists, or projects. Copy the public link from the "Share" function of the content and paste it into the corresponding module.
| Platform | Best For |
|---|---|
| Posts, Reels, brand moments, and portfolios. | |
| Threads | Short text insights, announcements, or community discussions. |
| TikTok | Tutorials, event highlights, and short videos. |
| YouTube | Tutorials, interviews, brand videos, or playlists. |
| Behance | Design projects and creative portfolios. |
Music and Podcasts: Use Public Sharing Information Provided by the Platform
Spotify, Apple Music, and Apple Podcasts are great for musicians, show hosts, and creators. Ensure your singles, albums, playlists, shows, or episodes can be played publicly, then use the links or embed information provided by the platform.
If content is unavailable in certain regions, visitors may still see platform-specific regional or account restrictions. These are external platform rules that Kanorio cannot override.
Forms and Appointments: Set Up on the Original Platform First
Google Forms, SurveyCake, Typeform, and Calendly all require you to complete settings for questions, notifications, available time slots, or permissions on their respective platforms before displaying them in Kanorio.
| Tool | Pre-Launch Check |
|---|---|
| Google Forms | Ensure the form accepts responses and doesn't force visitors to log in with unnecessary accounts. |
| SurveyCake | Confirm the survey is published, and that questions and completion messages are correct. |
| Typeform | Verify the survey is published and check the completion screen or redirect link. |
| Calendly | Confirm available time slots, time zone, meeting links, and notification settings. |
Form and appointment data are collected and processed by the original platform. If you collect personal data from visitors, explain its purpose and the third-party services used in your privacy policy.
Figma, Discord, and Google Business Profile: Showcase Designs, Community, and Locations
Figma can display public design files, FigJam boards, prototypes, or presentations. Discord can include server invite information. The Google Business Profile module is ideal for showing location name, address, phone number, business hours, and map details.
This content must be publicly accessible to visitors. For Figma, specifically, check that sharing permissions are not limited only to you or your team members.
Third-Party Services Not Currently Supported for Integration
Kanorio currently only supports the integration services provided in the "Modules" panel and the tracking settings specifically offered by the system. Pasting arbitrary HTML, JavaScript, or Embed Code to embed third-party services not on the current integration list is not supported.
This restriction helps maintain the security, performance, mobile compatibility, and content display stability of your public website. Even if a third-party service provides an iframe or embed code, please do not paste it into text, image URL, or integration fields.
If you're missing a service you'd like to use, please let us know your needs via the customer support chat in the bottom right corner of your dashboard. Include the service name, what you want visitors to accomplish, and the service's public URL. This feedback will be directly provided to the product development team as a reference for future integration planning.
Integration vs. Third-Party Tracking
| Function | What is its purpose? |
|---|---|
| Integration Modules | Display content or allow visitor interaction on the website's front end, such as forms, videos, and appointments. |
| Third-Party Tracking | Measure traffic, ads, or conversions in the background, such as GTM, GA4, and Meta Pixel. |
To set up tracking codes, open "Tracking Settings" or read "Setting Up Third-Party Tracking." Do not paste tracking codes into integration module fields, nor paste video or form URLs into tracking settings.
Troubleshooting Display Issues
- Confirm Content is Public: Open the original link using an incognito window or an unlogged browser.
- Verify Link Type: Use the public sharing link for posts, videos, forms, or appointment pages, not backend management URLs.
- Check Platform Embedding Permissions: External platforms may change embedding rules, regional restrictions, or content permissions.
- Ensure Browser Isn't Blocking: Ad blockers, strict privacy settings, and corporate networks can block third-party content.
- Confirm Published Status: Test using your live website URL, not just the editor preview.
Tips
- Place only the integration that best helps achieve your goal on each page; avoid cluttering your homepage with all social platforms.
- Before a form, explain what visitors will get by filling it out, e.g., "Leave your email to get a quote."
- Before Calendly, explain the meeting length, who it's for, and if there's a fee.
- After embedding social content, also provide a regular link so visitors whose content fails to load can still go to the original platform.
Frequently Asked Questions
Kanorio provides features based on your website plan, but external platforms may have their own paid plans, accounts, or usage limitations. Please check both your Kanorio plan and the platform's rules.
The most common reasons are that the content is not public, the wrong management URL was used, the platform prohibits embedding, or your browser is blocking third-party content. Please test your live website following the troubleshooting steps in this article.
Yes, but each integration adds to your page's content and external loading items. Prioritize tools that best help visitors achieve their goals and test the reading and interaction experience on mobile devices.
No. For general website visitors to see the content, it must be publicly accessible. Private accounts or restricted posts usually won't display correctly.
Not currently. Please select platforms supported by Kanorio from the integration modules. If a service you need isn't available, please let the product development team know via the customer support chat in the bottom right corner.
The Pinterest module needs access to your profile or board data to allow you to select the content you want to display. You can disconnect your account in the module form, but related modules will require reconnection to function afterward.
