Setting Up Your Website's Legal Pages
Overview
When you create a website, Kanorio provides six common legal pages in the editor under Pages → Legal Pages. These pages are hidden by default and invisible to visitors. You can modify their content to suit your specific operations, then make them visible and publish them.
These pages are part of your own public website and are intended to inform visitors about your rules of use, data handling practices, and terms of purchase. They are not the terms of service or privacy policy for the Kanorio platform itself.
Kanorio offers editable templates, not legal advice, and does not guarantee compliance with the regulations of any specific region, industry, or business context. Before using them publicly, please review and confirm the content against your actual data processing, products, and services. If necessary, consult with a qualified legal professional.

Six Legal Pages
Each page has a fixed URL and cannot be changed. You can edit the title and body content, but please keep the names easily recognizable for visitors.
Terms of Service (/terms-of-service)
Outlines the basic rules visitors must follow when using your website, such as account usage, prohibited activities, and the boundaries of responsibility for website content and services.
Most public websites should start by reviewing this page to ensure its content aligns with the services you offer and your contact information.
Privacy Policy (/privacy-policy)
Explains what data you collect, why you collect it, how you use and store it, and how visitors can contact you to manage their data-related requests.
If your website has forms, takes orders, includes member registration, or handles customer service messages, or if you share data with payment gateways, shipping providers, email services, or analytics tools, be sure this page accurately describes these practices.
Cookie Policy (/cookie-policy)
Details the types of cookies or similar technologies your website uses, such as those for maintaining website operation, remembering preferences, or analyzing traffic with consent.
If you've enabled a cookie consent banner, built-in analytics, or connected third-party trackers like Google Tag Manager, GA4, or Meta Pixel, review this page alongside them. For information on operating the cookie consent banner, see Cookie Consent Banner.
Purchase Terms (/purchase-terms)
Describes the rules for purchasing products, digital content, or services through your website, including how orders are placed, pricing and payment, and delivery or activation methods.
If you sell physical goods, courses, subscriptions, or paid services, check that this page accurately reflects your checkout and fulfillment processes.
Return Policy (/return-policy)
Explains the conditions under which visitors can request returns, exchanges, or refunds, and what information is required and how the process is handled.
When selling products, it's recommended to review this alongside the Purchase Terms, and confirm any specific restrictions for digital content, custom orders, or services already rendered.
Disclaimer (/disclaimer)
States that the website content is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, medical, financial, investment, tax, or other professional advice. It also clarifies the boundaries of responsibility for third-party links and content.
If you provide content on professional topics, tutorials, reviews, or if your website features numerous third-party links and embedded content, reviewing this page is advisable.
Choose Based on Your Website
You don't need to publish all six pages at once. Select the ones that align with your website's actual functionality:

For example, a purely brand showcase website typically starts with the Terms of Service. If it includes a contact form, the Privacy Policy should be added. An online store would also need Purchase Terms and a Return Policy.
Before Publishing, Please Confirm
The templates incorporate some text based on your website's name but won't automatically know your operational specifics. Before publishing, at a minimum, verify:
- The accuracy of your website name, brand name, and publicly listed contact information.
- Whether the Privacy Policy covers all the data you actually collect and its intended uses (e.g., name, email, phone number, order details, customer service messages).
- Whether the Cookie Policy corresponds to the analytics or tracking tools you actually use.
- Whether the Purchase and Return policies align with your product types, delivery methods, eligibility for returns/exchanges, and any limitations.
- Whether the Disclaimer accurately reflects the nature of your content (e.g., tutorials, reviews, professional information).
After making modifications, enable display and publish your website for visitors to see the latest version.
