SEO Optimization Checklist

Overview

SEO doesn't have to be overly complex from the start. This checklist is organized into "Pre-Launch, Post-Launch, and Ongoing Optimization" stages, making it ideal for anyone building a brand website for the first time. Please prioritize excellent website content and visitor experience before focusing on search engine settings. Empty pages or incomplete service information, even with many keywords, will struggle to generate meaningful search traffic.

Pre-Launch

  • Ensure every important page has a clear and distinct page title.
  • In the SEO panel for "Pages", set unique search titles and descriptions for each important page.
  • The first fold of your homepage should clearly explain who you are, what you offer, and what visitors can do next.
  • Images have descriptive ALT text, not just "Image 1" or filenames.
  • In “Site Management → General”, confirm your site name, Logo, Favicon, and contact information are correct.
  • All main buttons link to the correct URLs, forms, booking systems, or contact methods.
  • In the editor's mobile preview, confirm that text, images, and buttons remain easy to read and click.
  • Do not mistakenly set pages still under preparation as indexable; if public access needs to be paused, hide the page first or correctly set noindex in “Pages → SEO”.

Kanorio handles page structure and technical foundations. You only need to ensure each page has a clear main title; you don't need to write HTML tags yourself.

Post-Launch

  • Use an incognito window to confirm that your public website and all important pages are accessible.
  • Confirm that when sharing URLs, the title, description, and image appear as expected.
  • Connect Google Search Console from “SEO & Search Engines”.
  • Confirm that your Sitemap is available at /sitemap.xml on your public URL.
  • Submit or check your Sitemap status via GSC.
  • In “Pages → SEO”, check that public pages haven't accidentally been set to noindex.
  • If using a custom domain, confirm that DNS and HTTPS are fully configured.

After publishing, do not repeatedly change URLs simply because Google hasn't displayed results yet. Allow search engines time to crawl and index, and use GSC to monitor the actual status.

Ongoing Optimization

  • Regularly update services, case studies, pricing, or contact information to avoid outdated content.
  • Maintain a blog or FAQ section to answer questions your customers genuinely ask.
  • Share valuable content on social media, newsletters, or partner pages.
  • Monthly review Google Search Console for search impressions and click trends.
  • Weekly or monthly review “Analytics” to identify popular entry pages and low-engagement pages.
  • For pages needing improvement, adjust only one or two items at a time, then observe the results.

Practices to Avoid

  • Copying and pasting the same search title and description across all pages.
  • Stuffing popular keywords unrelated to the content.
  • Generating numerous pages with similar content that offer no real value, just for SEO.
  • Purchasing suspicious backlinks or services that guarantee a #1 ranking.
  • Making private, test, or unfinished pages publicly accessible to search engines.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Prioritize completing your homepage, main service pages, contact entry points, and basic search settings, then gradually fill in other pages.

For new websites, confirm indexing status one to two weeks after publishing, then check GSC and website analytics monthly. Consistency in checking is more important than daily, repetitive modifications.

Yes. SEO provides long-term organic exposure, while sharing on social media, through partnerships, or via newsletters allows real visitors to access your site more quickly. The two approaches complement each other.
