Kanorio vs Figma Sites — From publishing a design to a brand site anyone can run

Figma Sites lets designers publish in one click. Kanorio builds searchable brand websites you can keep updating.

Figma Sites lets designers publish a design file as a polished website in one click. Kanorio helps you create a brand website you can run for the long term and that Google can find. The goals are different, and you can use both.

What is Figma Sites?

Figma Sites is Figma’s website-publishing feature, launched in 2025. Designers can finish a layout on the familiar Figma canvas, then publish the design as a responsive website without handing it to engineering. You get a *.figma.site subdomain by default. Binding a custom domain usually needs Professional or above.

Figma Sites’ design advantage is real. It inherits Figma’s pixel-level control as a professional design tool - Auto Layout, the component system, and Design Library all carry onto the website. Built-in animation, parallax, custom cursors, and AI Code Layers can produce visually rich pages. If the team already lives in Figma, design-to-live has almost no extra learning cost. These are places a newer service like Kanorio cannot match yet.

Figma Sites is still, at heart, an extension of a designer workflow—not a website builder made for non-designers or long-term brand operations. Next we will cover how the two approaches differ, and what Kanorio adds when you need SEO, a Blog, traffic data, and an Online Store.

How the two approaches differ

Figma Sites and Kanorio solve different problems. They are not replacements for each other.

Figma Sites is strongest at design-to-publish. It fits designers who already have a complete file, portfolios, campaign pages, or a high-interaction landing page. If the team already finished the layout in Figma and only wants to go live and share, staying on Figma Sites is entirely reasonable.

Kanorio is not positioned as “a better design tool.” It uses AI to draft a professional brand website, then you expand pages and content through modules. A brand website has a stable URL, can be indexed by search engines, and can hold services, a portfolio, articles, and contact in one place for the long term. The Free plan already covers most SEO, traffic Analytics, and security basics, so you spend energy on brand content instead of design-tool details.

No design background required: AI drafts the first website

Many people get stuck on “I do not know how to structure a first website.” Kanorio’s flow is: fill in brand details → AI generates a first-draft website → you adjust copy, images, and modules → publish. Most people can finish a usable first version in about 15 minutes.

This is not dragging every element from a blank canvas. You start with a readable, editable full draft, then slowly turn it into your brand home. You can grow the structure through the Visual Suite: cover, services, portfolio, pricing, and contact form.

Fairly: if you are a designer and the layout is already polished in Figma, Figma Sites’ design-to-publish path is unmatched - the design is the finished output, and the interactions are richer. If you have no design background, or the person who will run the website is not a designer, Kanorio’s AI first draft and modular editing lower the bar a lot.

Get found on Google, not only a good-looking page

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is simple in practice: make it easier for Google and other search engines to understand and find your website, so people searching for your kind of service can see you.

Kanorio handles a lot of the basics for you: search titles and descriptions (Meta), a Sitemap, and a site structure that is easier to index. You do not have to learn a pile of technical terms first; you can edit search-preview text in the dashboard. These basics are available on the Free plan. See the SEO getting started guide for a gentler intro.

Fairly: Figma Sites can set page title, Meta Description, and Open Graph images. Public information shows it currently lacks automatic Sitemap, Schema structured data, Canonical, and 301 redirects as advanced SEO. Generated HTML is also mostly <div>, and semantic tags need to be set by hand. If you only need to share a link and you do not care much about being found on Google, Figma Sites’ showcase page already works well. If you want the brand to be searchable and to accumulate exposure over time, a full website’s SEO structure fits that goal better.

Build searchable content on your website

Content needs a place you can keep updating: service notes, FAQs, case studies, industry observations. Kanorio includes a Blog. Posts go live on your brand domain, each with its own URL, which also helps search engines index them.

You can run the website as a brand home and use articles to build a searchable content base at the same time. Public blog publishing and other advanced capabilities depend on the plan; see Pricing.

Figma Sites has a basic CMS for article-like content, but it is still in beta and relatively thin (item caps, no full category tags or RSS, and similar typical blog features). If you occasionally need a polished one-page piece, Figma Sites’ design skill is still strong. If the goal is to keep writing and accumulate search traffic, a website blog is a better fit.

See who visited on day one

After you go live, you will want to know: how many people came? From where? Which pages did they view? Kanorio includes Analytics. On the Free plan you can already see website traffic reports, without installing a complex third-party tool just to understand visitors.

Fairly: Figma Sites can connect Google Analytics or inject a tracking snippet, a reasonable path if you already know GA. If you want to read visitor sources and behavior in plain language on day one, without setting up a tracking snippet, Kanorio’s built-in reports are less work. If you later need ads or more advanced tracking, you can also read how third-party tracking tools differ. For a first pass, see Analytics getting started.

HTTPS and protection built in, without handling the tech yourself

A brand website needs basic protection, but most non-technical users do not want to handle certificates and defense settings themselves. Kanorio includes Security: HTTPS / SSL certificates, DDoS protection, and other platform-level capabilities, so you can spend the energy on content and the business.

In plain terms: the URL visitors see in the browser is a secure connection, and the platform helps absorb common malicious traffic. Account and payment security have their own docs; start with the website security overview.

For a typical portfolio or a short-lived showcase page, Figma Sites’ basic HTTPS is usually secure enough. If you run a long-term brand website, platform-level protection is extra peace of mind.

Online Store, so the brand website can sell

If you want to sell digital products, courses, or service packages on the brand website, Kanorio offers an Online Store (Pro; see Pricing), so the site is not only a showcase—it can also convert.

Figma Sites currently has no native commerce—no cart, checkout, or product management. If the main need is a polished showcase page that sends people to another sales channel, Figma Sites is still a strong fit. If you want “the website itself can sell,” Kanorio is the closer match.

One account for several brands, and non-designers can edit too

Running several brands at once, different lines of business, or colleagues who need to edit content is common. Kanorio lets one account manage multiple websites, and you can invite teammates (by plan and permission).

Creating a website is then not “finish one page and stop.” As the business grows, you can add sites and collaboration without hunting for a new tool every time you open a brand.

Honestly: Figma’s live multiplayer in the design stage is unmatched—several people can work on the same canvas, comment, and reuse a Design System. Figma Sites also offers a Content Seat so non-designers can update CMS content while the layout stays locked. Kanorio is a closer match for multi-site management and “a non-designer can run a brand website on their own,” while design-collaboration polish is still being improved.

FAQ

Not necessarily. If the team already has a complete design process, and Figma Sites already covers publish needs (portfolio, campaign pages, a high-interaction landing page), that is a natural extension. If you need non-design teammates to ship and update a marketing website, built-in traffic stats on the Free plan, or an AI-drafted brand website, you can try Kanorio in parallel or on the next project. You can also use both by scene.

If you have no design background, Kanorio is the better fit. Figma Sites usually assumes “there is already a design file.” Even with a Content Seat for non-designers to update content, a designer still needs to build the template and layout first. Kanorio starts from brand details, AI generates an editable first version, and you adjust through modules. Most people can finish a usable first version in about 15 minutes. See the Visual Suite for details.

Figma Sites can set page title and Meta Description. Public information shows it currently lacks Sitemap, Schema, Canonical, and similar advanced SEO, and generated HTML is relatively limited semantically. Whether you get found, and at what rank, still depends on many factors. If SEO is an important goal, Kanorio handles basic SEO settings (search title and description, Sitemap, and similar) so search engines can understand and index more easily. Start with the SEO feature page and the SEO getting started guide.

Honestly, on pixel-level design freedom and complex interaction, Figma Sites currently wins—it is an extension of a professional design tool. Kanorio’s module system trades some design flexibility for convenience and speed. If the core need is extreme visuals and interaction, Figma Sites (or Framer / Webflow) is a better fit. If you want a searchable brand website you can run for the long term, Kanorio is the closer match. A common path: use Figma for design and short-lived showcase pages; use Kanorio for the long-term brand home.

The Free plan covers modular site building, most basic SEO, built-in traffic Analytics, security basics, and an AI-generated first-draft website. Public blog publishing, the Online Store, a custom domain, and some other capabilities need an upgrade. See the current scope on the pricing page.

Figma Sites currently has no native commerce. If you need to sell digital products, courses, or service packages on the website itself, Kanorio’s Online Store is the closer match (Pro; see Pricing). You can also keep Figma Sites as a polished showcase and send visitors to another sales channel.

Public information shows Figma Sites currently has no full code export or one-click migration, so platform lock-in is relatively high. If you later want Kanorio, a common path is to gather existing copy and image assets, then bring them into the new site structure. You do not need a one-shot “move the whole site,” and we do not recommend it. Create the core website pages first, then move important content over in stages.
