Kanorio vs ChatGPT Sites — From AI chat-built pages to searchable brand websites

ChatGPT Sites turns conversations into interactive pages and internal tools. Kanorio builds searchable brand websites you can grow.

No credit card required

ChatGPT Sites can turn a conversation into an interactive page or a light app fast—internal tools, dashboards, and prototypes. Kanorio starts with AI and no code, so non-technical users can create a brand website that search can find and that you can run for the long term. Both use AI to build sites. They aim at different jobs.

What is ChatGPT Sites?

ChatGPT Sites is OpenAI’s site-building and hosting feature inside ChatGPT (publicly described as a Public Beta). In plain terms: you describe the site or small tool you want in natural language. The system—often with coding-assistant capabilities such as Codex—builds it, deploys it, and hosts it on OpenAI-managed infrastructure, then gives you a shareable URL. See the OpenAI help article and the Sites docs for current details.

From public information, common capabilities include:

  • Describe the need in a Prompt, and get a light app such as a site, dashboard, project tracker, or knowledge base
  • Hosting on OpenAI infrastructure, often on a .chatgpt.site URL; some plans can bind a custom domain (you already own the domain and set DNS)
  • Access control: only you, named people, workspace members, or public (Enterprise public publish often needs an admin to turn it on)
  • Versioning: save a version before you deploy, which helps review
  • Simple data storage for interactive apps (public docs often mention capabilities such as D1 and R2)
  • Basic traffic stats: some non-Enterprise sites can see unique visitors and page views

The conditions and limits matter more. Sites usually needs a paid ChatGPT plan (Free / Go cannot use it). The Beta has usage caps. Public information also notes that some regions (for example the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK) may not have had access at launch. The product boundary is explicit: it is not a fit for financial transactions or payment-card data—so it is not an ecommerce checkout site.

If you already use ChatGPT Business / Plus / Pro and want a fast internal tool or a shareable prototype, ChatGPT Sites is appealing. Next we cover what Kanorio adds when the goal is a public brand website that Google can find and that you can keep running.

How the two products aim differently

ChatGPT Sites and Kanorio can both “build a site with AI.” They solve different problems.

Typical ChatGPT Sites work: team dashboards, project trackers, internal portals, event calendars, product prototypes. The flow is usually: describe the need in ChatGPT → preview → iterate → deploy and share. Strengths are speed from chat to an interactive page, and access control inside a workspace.

Kanorio is for a public brand front door: AI first drafts a readable, editable brand website, then you adjust copy and structure with modules so brands and companies of any size can run it long term and be found in search. The point is not an internal tool. It is a digital front you can show the world.

Think of it this way: ChatGPT Sites is like asking an AI engineer to “ship a usable web tool first.” Kanorio is like asking an AI designer to “lay out a first brand website,” then you keep editing copy, adding posts, and watching traffic. Both are reasonable. They fit different people.

You can go live without code—what you run afterward is different

Fairly: neither ChatGPT Sites nor Kanorio requires you to write code. That is a shared advantage over traditional site building.

The difference is what you run after launch. A ChatGPT Sites result is often an interactive page or internal app for one job. To change content, you usually keep iterating in chat, or adjust inside the Sites workflow. That is a good way to test an idea quickly.

Kanorio’s flow is built for brand work: fill in brand details → AI generates a first-draft site → you adjust copy, images, and modules → publish. Most people can finish a usable first version in about 15 minutes. You can grow the structure through the Visual Suite—cover, services, portfolio, pricing, contact form—and you can use content creation for AI copy help.

If you need a shareable interactive tool this afternoon, ChatGPT Sites may feel more direct. If you need a brand website you can still edit yourself in three months or three years, Kanorio is the closer match.

Content and SEO: can Google find you?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is simple in practice: make it easier for Google and other search engines to understand and find your website.

ChatGPT Sites can share a site publicly, but public information currently has no clear brand-site SEO dashboard: per-page Meta (search title and description), a Sitemap, structured data, and similar. The default .chatgpt.site subdomain is also usually not a brand domain designed for long-term search weight. Early users and reviews often agree: it is for “send someone a link,” not “wait for Google to send people to you.”

Kanorio handles a lot of the basics for you: search titles and descriptions, a Sitemap, and a site structure that is easier to index. These basics are available on the Free plan. See the SEO getting started guide.

For ongoing content, Kanorio includes a Blog. Posts go live on your brand domain, each with its own URL, which also helps search engines index them. There are also AI-friendly capabilities and AI Visibility Management, so you can think about how AI tools read and cite the brand beyond classic search. Public blog publishing and other advanced capabilities depend on the plan; see Pricing.

In short: ChatGPT Sites gives you “an AI-generated site you can ship fast.” Kanorio gives you “content and search foundations designed for running a brand.”

Analytics, security, and whether you can sell

After you go live, you will want to know: how many people came? Which pages did they view? ChatGPT Sites public information mentions basic Analytics (for example unique visitors and page views), which is enough for a quick test. It is usually not a full brand dashboard—Sessions, bounce rate, conversion funnels, or custom events often still need another approach.

Kanorio includes Analytics. On the Free plan you can already see website traffic reports, without installing a complex third-party tool just to understand visitors. For a first pass, see Analytics getting started.

On security, ChatGPT Sites hosts on OpenAI infrastructure, and workspace sign-in can control who sees an internal site. That is valuable for internal tools. Kanorio includes Security: HTTPS / SSL certificates, DDoS protection, and other platform-level capabilities, so brand-site visitors default to a secure connection. Start with the website security overview.

If you want to sell digital products or service packages on the website, look at Kanorio’s Store (Pro; see Pricing). This point is important: from public docs and reviews, ChatGPT Sites is not a fit / not allowed for financial transactions or payment-card data—so it is not an ecommerce checkout site. That is a product and policy boundary, not a missing feature still on the way.

One account for several brands, and teammates can edit too

Running more than one brand, or more than one line of business, is common. Kanorio lets one account manage multiple websites, and you can invite teammates (by plan and permission). Related capabilities start on the Free plan; current limits are on the pricing page.

ChatGPT Sites is tightly tied to a ChatGPT workspace: Business / Enterprise can use roles and permissions for who can create or publish publicly. That feels natural if the team already collaborates in ChatGPT. Sites itself has Beta usage caps, and public information does not yet describe a mature “multi-brand site business” product. There is also no documented full export path. Putting the whole brand website on Sites long term means you should weigh lock-in—in plain terms: leaving later may be hard.

On Kanorio, site building is not a one-shot generate-and-done. Website count and collaboration can grow with the business.

Where ChatGPT Sites is stronger

Honestly: if the core need is “turn a conversation into an interactive page / internal tool fast,” ChatGPT Sites is competitive today.

Speed from Prompt to an interactive site. Describe the need and get a light app with state and simple data storage. Dashboards, trackers, and prototypes benefit most. Kanorio’s AI is for a brand-website first draft and module-based running, not this kind of internal-tool generator.

Workspace auth and internal sharing. Sign in with ChatGPT and workspace permissions fit a tool only colleagues should see. Kanorio collaboration is for maintaining brand content, not an enterprise internal auth portal.

The same ChatGPT workflow. If you already subscribe to Plus / Pro / Business, Sites in the Beta quota often does not feel like “buying another site builder.” Iteration stays in conversation.

Versioning. Save a version before deploy. Review and rollback are practical.

Interactive-app flexibility. Inside the supported runtime, you can go further than a static marketing page. Modular brand site builders deliberately do not take that path.

An honest limit for Kanorio as a newer company. We cannot (and should not claim to) match ChatGPT / OpenAI on conversational full-stack app generation, workspace-level enterprise controls, or the infrastructure scale of a large AI platform. If you want AI-generated internal tools, pick the right tool. If you want a searchable brand website, then evaluate Kanorio.

If ChatGPT Sites already runs your internal tools or prototypes well, you usually do not need to move “just to switch tools.” Kanorio is a better fit when you want a public brand website quickly, with SEO / Blog / Analytics built in, and you want to run the content yourself over time.

FAQ

People who already have a paid ChatGPT plan and want to turn a conversation into an internal tool, dashboard, prototype, or shareable light app. If the main goal is internal team use, Sites is often practical.

Both use AI. The goal is different. ChatGPT Sites leans toward generating interactive web tools. Kanorio leans toward generating and running a brand website long term, with SEO, a Blog, and traffic Analytics built in.

From public docs and reviews, Sites is not a fit for financial transactions or payment-card data. If you want to sell digital products, courses, or service packages on the website, look at Kanorio’s Store (Pro; see Pricing).

A public URL can theoretically be indexed, but the platform currently has no clear brand-site SEO dashboard, and the default subdomain is usually not designed for long-term search. If you want people to find you by searching keywords, Kanorio builds in the basic SEO most people actually use. See the SEO feature page.

“Available in the subscription” and “fits your goal” are different questions. Sites is good value for fast tools and prototypes. Ecommerce is constrained, SEO / Blog and brand-running capabilities are incomplete, and there are Beta usage and region limits. If you need a searchable brand website, Kanorio is the closer match. You can also use both.

Not necessarily. If it is an internal tool or a prototype, you usually should not migrate. If you are opening a public brand website, need to accumulate content and search traffic, or need store capabilities, you can try Kanorio as the brand-site option.

Yes. A practical split: keep internal dashboards, project trackers, and fast prototypes on ChatGPT Sites; use Kanorio for the public brand website, services, portfolio, Blog, and sales pages. You can also put a link to the brand website inside a Sites tool.

The Free plan covers modular site building, most basic SEO, built-in traffic Analytics, security basics, multi-site management and team collaboration, and an AI-generated first-draft website. Public blog publishing, Store, a custom domain, and some other capabilities need an upgrade. See the current scope on the pricing page.
