Bolt uses AI conversation to produce full code, which fits developers who want a prototype or Web App fast. Kanorio starts with AI and no code, for a searchable brand website. Both use AI to build sites. They are for completely different people.
What is Bolt?
Bolt (site: bolt.new) is StackBlitz’s in-browser AI tool for sites and apps. In plain terms: you describe the website or Web App you want in natural language. The system generates editable code in the browser, previews it live, and can one-click publish to Bolt Cloud. See Bolt support and pricing for current details.
From public information, common capabilities include:
- Describe the need in a Prompt and get a full-stack project; a common default stack is React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and Node.js
- A built-in browser IDE: keep iterating in chat, or edit code and install packages directly
- Bolt Cloud: hosting, database, domain, and basic Analytics in one workspace; free projects can publish to
.bolt.host, paid plans can bind a custom domain - AI Agent: Standard (available on Free) and Max (paid); Bolt routes models behind the scenes, so you pick an agent level rather than a single model name
- Skills (reusable instruction sets): write brand rules, SEO flows, or code review as reusable skills that apply from a Prompt, and share them across projects or a team
- Design System: Teams plans can upload Storybook, a component library, or brand docs so later generation stays closer to the existing system
- SEO Boost (often on paid plans): prerendered HTML for crawlers, and AI can add Meta, Open Graph, and similar tags
Pricing is token-based. A public snapshot looks roughly like this: Free about 1M tokens a month (plus a daily cap), Pro from about $25 / 10M tokens a month, Teams about $30 per seat, Enterprise custom. Annual billing often has a discount; unused paid tokens can roll over one month. Check the site for live numbers and entitlements.
If you want “a runnable, code-editable prototype or small Web App this afternoon,” Bolt is appealing. Next we cover what Kanorio adds when the goal is a public brand website that Google can find, and that you can keep editing and running yourself.
How the two products aim differently
Bolt and Kanorio can both “build a site with AI.” They solve different problems.
Typical Bolt work: product prototypes, Landing Page trials, small Web Apps with sign-in and a database, first drafts for an engineering team. The flow is usually: describe the need in chat → preview → keep chatting or edit code directly → Publish. Strengths are speed from one sentence to runnable code, and code portability.
Kanorio is after something else: help brands and companies get a searchable official site they can keep updating—not write a product back end you can sign into first. The product goal is: AI drafts a readable, editable brand website, then you adjust copy and structure with modules, so effort stays on brand content.
Think of it this way: Bolt is like asking an AI engineer to “write the code first.” Kanorio is like asking an AI designer to “lay out a first brand website,” then you keep editing copy, adding posts, and watching traffic. Both are reasonable. They fit different people.
In the same category there is also ChatGPT Sites: more about fast internal tools and light apps inside a ChatGPT workspace. All three can build from conversation. The default deliverable is different—a code project (Bolt), an interactive tool page (ChatGPT Sites), a brand website (Kanorio).
Can you go live without code? The bar is not the same
Fairly: neither Bolt nor Kanorio requires you to “learn to code before you start.” That is a shared advantage over traditional outsourcing or self-hosting.
The difference is whether you can still finish once complexity rises. Bolt is marketed as site building from chat, but public reviews and usage notes often look like this: as soon as the need gets complex, you keep iterating Prompts, reading error messages, and sometimes editing files. When a project has more components, AI context quality can drop and token use rises with it. You do not have to write a full app, but you usually have to accept a “code project” mental model.
Kanorio’s flow is built for brand work: fill in brand details → AI generates a first-draft site → you adjust copy, images, and modules → publish. Most people can finish a usable first version in about 15 minutes. You can grow the structure through the Visual Suite—cover, services, portfolio, pricing, contact form—and you can use content creation for AI copy help.
If you need a demo-ready product prototype today, Bolt may feel more direct. If you need a brand website you can still edit yourself in three months or three years, Kanorio is the closer match.
SEO: can the generated site be found on Google?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is simple in practice: make it easier for Google and other search engines to understand and find your website.
This is one of the largest structural differences. Bolt often defaults to a Client-Side Rendering (CSR) React SPA: the browser must run JavaScript before the content appears. For crawlers and social previews, that is harder than returning full HTML from the start. Public tutorials and reviews also often note that Sitemap, robots.txt, per-page Meta, and structured data usually need you to ask AI to add them—they are not in place out of the box.
Bolt’s SEO Boost (often on paid plans) gives crawlers prerendered HTML and can set social-preview metadata. That helps a Landing Page. What it adds is “crawlers can read it,” not “a brand-site SEO dashboard is ready.” You may still handle title strategy, Sitemap submission, and content yourself.
Kanorio handles a lot of the basics for you: search titles and descriptions, a Sitemap, and a site structure that is easier to index. These basics are available on the Free plan. See the SEO getting started guide. There are also AI-friendly capabilities and AI Visibility Management, so you can think about how AI tools read and cite the brand beyond classic search.
In short: Bolt gives you “a code site you can ship fast and improve for SEO later.” Kanorio gives you “content and search foundations designed for running a brand.”
After launch: Analytics, Blog, and long-term running
After you go live, you will want to know: how many people came? Which pages did they view? Bolt Cloud public information mentions built-in Analytics (for example pageviews, visitors, traffic sources), which is enough for a quick test. It is usually not a full brand dashboard—conversion funnels, content performance, or a long-term content base often still need another approach.
Kanorio includes Analytics. On the Free plan you can already see website traffic reports, without installing a complex third-party tool just to understand visitors. For a first pass, see Analytics getting started.
For content, Kanorio includes a Blog. Posts go live on your brand domain, each with its own URL, which also helps search engines index them. Bolt does not position a native Blog / CMS. To run a content site, you usually Prompt a blog architecture and maintain it yourself. Public blog publishing and other advanced capabilities depend on the plan; see Pricing.
On security, Bolt Cloud hosting provides HTTPS and platform-level basics; Kanorio also includes Security: HTTPS / SSL certificates, DDoS protection, and more. Start with the website security overview.
Pricing: tokens vs a fixed subscription
When people pick a tool, what often blocks them is not “does it have the feature,” but “does more editing cost more?”
Bolt meters AI use in tokens. The same “change a title” in a large codebase usually spends more tokens than in a small project. Free has daily and monthly caps; a serious project usually needs Pro. That fits a short sprint to a prototype. If you expect long, frequent copy and layout edits, the usage curve belongs in total cost.
Kanorio tries to put common basics on a free or simpler upgrade path: modular site building, most basic SEO, built-in traffic Analytics, security foundations, multi-site management, and team collaboration. Public blog publishing, Store, a custom domain, and other advanced capabilities depend on the plan. See the current scope on the pricing page.
Compare total cost by what you will actually repeat. If the core is shipping a runnable app in a short window, Bolt’s token model may be good value. If the core is editing brand content yourself for a long time, a fixed subscription plus module editing is usually more predictable.
How to choose among Bolt, ChatGPT Sites, and Kanorio
All three sit in “conversation / AI generative site building.” The default answer is different:
Bolt: AI → code → a custom app / prototype. The stronger your technical base, and the more you need to export code or connect GitHub, the more value it has. It fits an MVP, an internal-tool trial, or a first draft for engineers.
ChatGPT Sites: AI → interactive pages / internal tools. Most convenient if you already pay for ChatGPT and want to deploy a shareable page in the same workspace. The Public Beta has usage and region limits; payments / ecommerce are not its core. See Kanorio vs ChatGPT Sites.
Kanorio: AI → a brand website. Fits people without a technical background who want effort on services, a portfolio, articles, and search traffic. The goal is a digital front Google can find, that you can run yourself long term.
You can also combine them: validate a product or internal process on Bolt or ChatGPT Sites, and run the public brand website and content on Kanorio.
Where Bolt is stronger
Honestly: if the core need is “use AI to produce a runnable full-stack code project fast,” Bolt is competitive today.
Full-stack app development. It can produce apps with Auth, a database, APIs, and interaction logic. Kanorio does not generate that kind of product back end.
Code ownership and portability. Output is standard front-end / back-end code you can export, connect to GitHub, or deploy where you already work. That matters when engineers take over.
Skills and Design System. Organizations that already have brand rules, Storybook, or team conventions can freeze them into reusable skills so they do not re-explain every time.
Agent flexibility. Standard / Max can switch with task complexity. Bolt also keeps improving context handling on larger projects.
Community and iteration speed. An active Builder community and fast feature iteration (Skills, Design System, Bolt Cloud, and more) attract people who want to stay close to AI development.
An honest limit for Kanorio as a newer company. We cannot (and should not claim to) match Bolt on full-stack code generation, an in-browser IDE, Design System Agents, or high-intensity engineering collaboration under token billing. If you want vibe coding into an app, pick the right tool. If you want a searchable brand website, then evaluate Kanorio.
If Bolt already runs your prototype or small app well, you usually do not need to move “just to switch tools.” Kanorio is a better fit when you want a public brand website quickly, with SEO / Blog / Analytics built in, and you want to run the content yourself over time.

FAQ
Both use AI. The deliverable is different. Bolt leans toward generating a runnable code project / Web App. Kanorio leans toward generating and running a brand website long term, with SEO, a Blog, and traffic Analytics built in.
A simple Landing Page can sometimes finish in conversation. Once the need gets complex, you usually still read errors, Prompt again, and sometimes edit code. If you do not want a code mental model at all, Kanorio’s module editing is the closer match.
It can get better, but a default CSR architecture is not search-friendly out of the box. SEO Boost and manually adding Meta / Sitemap help, and you still have to set them up. Kanorio builds in the basic SEO most people actually use. See the SEO feature page.
Bolt can generate code that connects Stripe or similar and ship a checkout prototype. Public reviews often remind you that production ecommerce still involves verification, webhooks, inventory, and compliance—one Prompt is rarely the end. If you mainly sell digital products, courses, or service packages, look at Kanorio’s Store (Pro; see Pricing).
Pick Bolt for code and a portable app. Pick ChatGPT Sites for light tools inside a ChatGPT workspace. Pick Kanorio for a searchable brand website you can run long term. See the three-way notes above and the ChatGPT Sites comparison.
Yes, and that is common. Use Bolt to test product interaction and technical feasibility. Use Kanorio for public image, services, portfolio, and the Blog. They solve different problems. One does not have to replace the other.
The Free plan covers modular site building, most basic SEO, built-in traffic Analytics, security basics, multi-site management and team collaboration, and an AI-generated first-draft website. Public blog publishing, Store, a custom domain, and some other capabilities need an upgrade. See the current scope on the pricing page.
