Bookings, Resources & Availability

Bookings will let customers reserve a time with a person, a room or a piece of equipment. A booking is a record of its own: free bookings never create an order, and paid bookings join checkout as a line item with a hold that expires.

What is planned

• Resources and availability. Staff, rooms and equipment with their working hours, buffers and capacity.
• Holds. A slot is held while the customer pays and released automatically if payment does not finish.
• Changes. Rescheduling, cancellation and no-shows follow the policy set on the bookable service.
• Your own payments. A front end that takes payment elsewhere can confirm a hold with its own operation id.

Until then

Collect booking requests with Forms & Data Collection, and sell fixed sessions as products in the Catalog.
