# Credits, Stored Value & Passes

Status: **Planned**

Credits will hold what a customer can spend later: loyalty points, store credit and prepaid passes such as a ten-class card. Each balance changes only through ledger entries, so every grant, use, refund and expiry stays traceable.

## What is planned

- **Three kinds of balance.** Points, monetary store credit and passes are separate assets. Points never count as money, and store credit is not a discount.
- **One ledger.** Balances are the sum of append-only entries, and the oldest credits expire first.
- **Links, not copies.** Orders and bookings will reference ledger entries when credits are used, instead of storing their own balances.
